Having the URL rewrite engine on and using seo links it is very important for your site !
Like this, it is better to transform : http://www.yoursite.com/products.php?id=4r3&lang=en
into this : http://www.yoursite.com/products-4r3-lang-eng.html
So here are the url rewrite tools:
- URL ReWrite Tool – this will generate the code needed for .htaccess file . Very nice tool, helped me a lot .
- Another URL ReWrite Tool – this url rewrite tool let’s you choose the separator .
- And another URL rewriting tool – another url rewrite tool . it generates comma separated urls.

Link Extractor and Link Checker

I was wondering around the my webpages and a problem came into my mind . I have a long list of sites on a website, and this links page and I needed to extract the links from the page, fast .
Memo : I did not code something for this yet, and I should …
Anyway, did a very super fast search and came up with this tools :
- The Link Extractor – a very simple and fast link extractor . Extract links from a web page with this tool .
- Reciprocal Link Checker – check a list of links for a reciprocal link . it only searches the index page of the sites .

Domain Search by Keyword

When you need to buy a domain name, maybe for a niche, it is very very important to do a keyword search .
Just open up Google Adwords Keyword Tool (just search for page on google.com) and do a search on your basic keywords used on the website . You will also find related keywords, and that is very good .
So here are the links to the domain keyword searchers’ :
- http://www.namecheap.com/domain-name-search.asp?type=keyword – This is a 3 keyword search engine . also displays all the domains, and tells you if the domain is available or not .
- http://instantdomainsearch.com/ - an Ajax driven domain search . shows the searched keyword / domain name, almost instantly, on the same page, without reloading it, thanks to AJAX .
This is a very good technique . After your keyword search you will find keyword pairs . you can look for high rated keyword pairs domain names . Just add your url to 300 to 500 free link web directories and you will get on the first page on Google .
This worked for me !!
At this time, when I am posting this, I have a project that is #1 in Google for a specific keyword search .
And I did the same thing, I looked in the search volumes for a specific keyword in the Adwords keyword tool.
The story goes like this . I was interested in Driving Quiz Online, but this was made in romanian language . the keywords used were “chestionare auto” witch means something like auto-quiz, and this combination was the first in the keyword list, searched in adwords keyword tool, with the most searches made in month .
So i made the website and I got it up, I made a little onsite optimization, and I got backlinks to the site, and here it is : www.chestionare-auto.com .
Think about this : how long untill there will be no more good, searched domain names ?!

freelancing – how I do it

Hello again world .
Getting a job done is very important, so before you get started, think about getting a job where you get to talk all the details and put it down on paper and work from there .
It is very important that you do not wake up with a problem when the client wants a quick change in the former plan, coming up with something totally different from what you talked about in the first place, not to mention the bigger problem when you have allready made part of the job .. that sucks !
Next, you need to check out the costs. “What costs ?!” you may say … well some freelance websites require one time join fee, or they ask for money per project bid, or percentage of the money you earn .
Search, Find Projects, Plan, Bid
Next you need to search for projects in your field of work. So you do a search and find the jobs that look promissing to you . A very important step, after reading the project’s info, is checking out the client .
Be very carefull who you work for ! Most design companies will only work with experienced freelancers, you should avoid projects posted by wird looking clients.
And also, you should not stick to only one project.
Now, before you bid, you need to plan the project . Think about the time and costs that the project would generate . Allways give yourself more time for work, and also bid a higher price then what you first choose, so that you can bid again later in case someone bids a lower price .

How do people make money online ?
A lot of people ask me this question, so I will try to tell you as much as I know about it .
The basic principle on the web, when we talk about making money with a website, is advertising and commisions .
People that have websites or blogs, besides the people that are selling a product or service allready online, think about monetising their website and they come up with this answers :
- Pay per click (PPC) adversiting – like AdSense and Adbrite and so many others
- Affiliate Marketing – Promoting products and services for a commision
- Direct ad spot sale
Offcourse, the people that make money online stay intouch with the latest keyword searches, search engine optimization, onsite optimization an so on .
Having a banner that will make you 3 cents is not really the most important think as TRAFFIC = The number of unique people that visit the website.
Getting people on the website is a real job and anyone that works at building traffic should know the most important things :
- Get indexed by major search engines
- Create UNIQUE content
- Know what keywords are going to be used
- GET BACKLINKS …. A LOT !
- Advertise for more clicks
- Start a Reciprocal Links page
This should do it .

On the other hand, there are the people that earn money online without a website or a blog .
So how do they do it ?!
Well, if you have a skill with the computer, you are allready there ! .
People make money online with freelance services . Yup, freelance is a very powerfull engine that could drive you to financial freedom one day .

After 10 years, writting code and building web pages, I decided to start a blog about everything I am interested in and about great and cool stuff I find, learn or invent online .
